06/6/2024 - 8/30/2024, Internship
At Sandia National Laboratories, I am currently leading the development of microfluidic polymer solutions within the CINT Facility. My role involves the creation of custom microfluidic chips using 3D CAD designs, aimed at optimizing the production of various types of polymer solutions.
I conducted extensive research to identify and implement the most efficient processes, enhancing overall productivity. Additionally, I oversee the chemical processes involved in polymer creation, ensuring adherence to the highest quality. My efforts have led to the successful integration of newly created technology and methodologies, resulting in notable improvements in process efficiency and performance.
08/21/2023 - 4/26/2024, Internship / Senior Design Project
Our goal is to design a compact device to enhance suturing, aiming to maximize operating room and surgical efficiency. This innovation updates the overall process of wound closure, reducing surgical time by up to 40 minutes and potentially saving thousands of dollars per hour in operating costs. Our device ensures precise suturing while minimizing surgeon fatigue. Our plan is to integrate this device into existing surgical workflow and offer an ergonomic design for user comfort and agility.
06/05/2023 - 08/11/2023, Internship
Interning at Honeywell's National Security Campus, I performed research in new additive manufacturing methods for nuclear deterrence development. My tasks included designing and integrating new extruder tools for a 4-extruder E3D ToolChanger printer and developing a high-precision camera module for a 5-Axis 3D printer. I shadowed lead engineers, conducted equipment inspections, and prepared documentation and presentations, gaining valuable hands-on experience in cutting-edge engineering...
